Abstract
A commercial variety of Arctostaphylos uva-ursi (L.) Sprang has been succes sfully micropropagated. Proliferation of shoot explants was obtained on MS medium with a low concentration of BAP (4.4 mu M), and rooting was achieved on 1/2 MS supplemented with 0.5 mu M NAA. Rooted plantlets were transferre d to soil and acclimatized with 90% survival.
