Abstract
Experiences with the total infusion anaesthesia using a mixture of guaifene sine, ketamine and xylazine in 20 clinical anaesthesias of more than one ho ur duration are reported. The principle consisted in maintaining the blood level of the three substances used for induction as long as necessary with a computerized pump system. The necessary doses and flows are reported. Car diorespiratory parameters remained remarkable stable under additional oxyge nation. Recoveries were uneventful and comparable with those after inhalati on anaesthesia.
