Abstract
The blattellid genus Leuropeltis is rediagnosed. Subfamily placement, descr iption of a new species from Bolivia and Paraguay, and a taxonomic key is g iven to distinguish the new taxon from the previously known species L. atop a (from French Guiana) and L. gurneyi (from Venezuela).
