The development of time sense in middle adulthood

The focus of this paper is on the normal, intrapsychic, subjective experien ce of time in a developed context. Time sense in middle age is determined l ess by the chronological age markers of forty or sixty and more by powerful , complex dynamic factors. Issues such as physical aging and illness, relat ionship to spouse and children, death of parents, and retirement will be ex plored in terms of how time is experienced.
