Abstract
We have designed and constructed an improved two-dimensional X pendulum vib ration-isolation table. It achieved a lower resonant frequency (7 s) than p revious prototypes, and the effects of many parasitic elastic resonances ha ve been reduced by careful balancing, leading to much improved vibration is olation around a few hertz.
