Abstract
This report describes the two dimensional echocardiographic and autopsy fin dings in a patient with aortic valve endocarditis complicated by a posterio r aortic root abcess with rupture into the right atrium, creating an aortic o-right atrial fistula, with a later development from the root of the fistu la of a pediculated thrombus inside the cavity.
