For the first time, synthetic polyoxoaluminium Keggin ion pillared Buserite
(KPB), has been used as an effective catalytic material for the 1,3-dipola
r cycloaddition reaction of alpha-N-diaryl nitrone such as alpha-phenyl-N-(
p-methylphenyl) nitrone with some electron deficient olefins resulting in t
he exclusive formation of trans-4-substituted isoxazolidines.
