Abstract
A new facile method for the synthesis of diaryl carbazone (ArN=NCONHNHAr) f rom aryl substituted carbazide is described. Eight of the compounds were pr eparated by oxidation of aryl substituted carbazide with ferric chloride in acid medium at room tempreture in good yield.
