Abstract
Adsorption and oxidation of SO2 on a CeO2-Al2O3 solid have been studie d by IR spectroscopy and gravimetry. Addition of CeO2 to Al2O3 lowers the temperature of formation of sulfate, increases the amount formed a nd decreases the reduction temperature by H-2.
