Abstract
Model based on the simple modification of the Anderson-Newns Hamiltonian is proposed for the description of the adsorption induced work function cover age dependence Delta phi(theta). It is shown that the change of Delta phi(t heta) sign for submonolayer coverages (theta < 1 ML) can be attributed to t he adsorption bond length alteration. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
