Abstract
Myocardial infarction is a rare complication of traumatic thoracic decelera tion. The authors report the case of anterior myocardial infarction with di ssection of the left anterior descending artery in a 16 year old boy who wa s injured in a motorbike accident without a penetrating thoracic wound. The refore, the only pathological mechanism was deceleration. The authors revie w the 12 previously reported cases.
