Abstract
We determine the velocities of matter in coronal regions with different tem peratures from the profiles of the coronal Fe X lambda 6374 Angstrom and "w eak" H alpha lambda 6563 Angstrom lines. Interferograms of the corona were obtained during the solar eclipse of March 9, 1997. Many profiles of these two lines have a complex shape. An analysis of the structure of the profile s and their shifts reveals the presence of moving features in the corona. T he line-of-sight velocities in the Fe X and Ha emission regions are close t o each other and, in some cases, reach 100 km s(-1). The temperature of the cool component of the corona is estimated to be 4 x 10(4) K.
