D. Szewieczek et al., INFLUENCE OF PASSIVATION PROCESS ON THE CORROSION-RESISTANCE OF AMORPHOUS TAPES, Journal of materials processing technology, 64(1-3), 1997, pp. 371-378
The influence of surface modification of amorphous tapes made of iron
based alloys using electrochemical passivation, on their corrosion res
istance has been investigated, Passivation has been carried out basing
on the potentiodynamic method of anodic polarization in selected test
ing environment - 5M solution of H2SO4. The corrosion tests of passiva
ted and unpassivated tape surfaces have been realized in 0,1 M NaCl so
lution. The potential of polarized specimens has been changed with rat
e 1 mV/s, and polarization has been carried out in potentials range of
- 0,700 V to +0,600 V. The modification of tapes surfaces used for ir
on based alloys affect possitivly on their corrosion resistance compar
ying to unpassivated state.
