Abstract
One of the processes for the preparation of magnetic paper is the in-s itu synthesis of magnetic particles, i.e. magnetite and substituted fe rrites. This process gives rise to the formation of ferrite particles associated with or inside the cellulose fibers. In this work, the infl uence of the fibers during the synthesis of crystals and aggregates of ferrites is evaluated. The magnetic, morphological and structural pro perties of the magnetic paper and the ferrite particles obtained are r eported.
