Abstract
An approximate but simple method for predicting kinetic parameters of empir ical mechanisms modeling combustion reactions in a turbulent medium is sugg ested. With a single optimally selected fitting parameter the method satisf actorily approximates experimental functions, it also indicates that the ki netic parameters of empirical reaction mechanisms in laminar and turbulent flames can differ.
