Abstract
Moelleroclavus is considered to be an anamorphic genus. The teleomorph of M. penicilliopsis is shown through field observations, collection examination, and cultures to represent a previously unnamed species of Xylaria, X. moelleroclavus sp, nov. Xylaria lingua and X. scruposa ar e also discussed.
