Abstract
In this paper, a finite element method is presented in details to solve a n onlinear partial differential equation with mixed boundary conditions which has many applications in engineering fields. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the method. Comparison of res ults, using analytical and numerical solutions, reveals a very good agreeme nt between two methods. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
