Abstract
The ferroelastic phase of a DMAAS single crystal is studied by the neutron diffraction method on a four-circle automatic diffractometer (lambda = 0.84 57 Angstrom) at the Laue-Langevin Institute, Grenoble, France. The crystal structure of the ferroelastic phase is refined up to R = 2.54%, It is estab lished that the ferroelastic phase is characterized by the partial disorder of dimethyl ammonium cation over the positions of amine and methyl groups.
