Reducing the supply of guns does not necessarily decrease crime, as many ec onomists support. This article explores hazards of gun control and offers a n alternative solution for reducing crime, that of enacting laws to permit the carrying of concealed handguns. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A.
