The electrochemical redox behaviour of alkyl bridged polythiophene derivati
ves poly(I,6-bis(3-thienyl-)hexane) and poly(I,12-bis(3-thienyl-)dodecane)
are investigated by cyclic voltammetry and compared to poly((3-hexyl-)thiop
hene) and poly((3-dodecyl-)thiophene). In addition the thermal characterist
ics of these polymers are determined by differential scanning calorimetry.
The polythiophene derivatives exhibit a temperature and time dependent redo
