Abstract
A simplified model of the charge carriers in a conducting polymer (polyanil ine) is presented here. It takes into account the diffusion of the electron s, anions and cations. Simultaneous measurements of the electrochemical imp edance and of the electrogravimetric transfer function were carried out on a polyaniline film. The impedance allows the electron transport to be chara cterized and the electrogravimetric transfer function leads to a descriptio n of the insertion law of the ions. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd.
