Electrically programmable technology simplifies analogue circuit trimming

The two ways in which circuits can be "trimmed" to improve accuracy, by use rs in the field, range from the well established mechanical potentiometer t o software based microprocessor techniques. A new device, reviewed here, is the electrically programmed analogue device (EPAD).
