Abstract
Efficient room-temperature operation of a diode-pumped Tm:YAG laser is demo nstrated in a composite-cavity non-planar ring resonator. By longitudinal p umping in continuous wave operation, a single-frequency output power up to 150mW and a multimode power greater than 0.5W are obtained for the Tm H-3(5 )-H-3(6) quasi-three-level transition at 2.02 mu m.
