On the volume of the Minkowski sum of line sets and the entropy-power inequality

We derive a version of the Brunn-Minkowski inequality which gives a nontriv ial lower bound on the volume of the Minkowski sum of degenerate sets, name ly, line sets. This inequality parallels a recently obtained matrix general ization of the entropy-power inequality.
