Abstract
This paper proposes M(3)A-multicast mobile measurement architecture-a softw are architecture for the development of flexible distributed measurement sy stems. M(3)A centers at the large level on modern Internet technologies suc h as multicast and mobile computing and at the small level on a Java and ac tor-based framework. M(3)A allows the building of open, portable, and dynam ically reconfigurable systems, The paper describes the architecture and exe mplifies it by some examples.
