Asthma and allergies are treated with some unique devices that allow the me
dications to be placed at the site of the problem, the nasal passages, and
airways. These devices allow people with asthma to use small doses of medic
ation to attain appropriate responses. The number of medications used to tr
eat asthma and allergies has grown in the last few years. As allied health
professionals, we are responsible for helping our patients understand their
treatment and the methods used to deliver it. Our goal is to help patients
improve their quality of life by optimizing their therapy.
