Intradermal inoculation of 100 mu g phytohaemagglutinin (PHA) in Japanese q
uail caused a mild increase in vascular permeability which persisted up to
1 hr post-inoculation (PI). Histologically, a cellular infiltrate rich in h
eterophils, monocytes and basophils observed during early hours was soon fo
llowed by predominant T-lymphocytes accumulation around many small blood ve
ssels forming well developed lymphoid aggregates at 24-48 hr PI.
