Abstract
Hexameric magnesium tri(terl-butyl)silylphosphandiide crystallizes with a h exagonal Mg6P6 prism and is a rare example of a solvent-free phosphandiide of a hard main group metal. The magnesium atoms show a coordination number of 3 in a trigonal pyramidal surrounding.
