Abstract
The crystal structure, electrical conductivity, and thermoelectric power of Nd1-xCaxCr1-yCuyO3 (x = 0.2, 0.3, 0.4; y = 0-0.20) chromites were studied in the temperature range 770-1270 K at oxygen partial pressures p(O2) = 10( 4) to 10(-12.5) Pa. The solid solutions studied have an orthorhombic struct ure and are p-type semiconductors, with electrical transport due to thermal ly activated hopping of small-radius polarons.
