We calculate the vibrational energy relaxation rate constants for oxygen mo
lecules in oxygen/argon liquid mixtures of various mole fractions at 77 K.
Our results are uniformly about a factor of 5 larger than experimental valu
es, which are in the range of 100 s(-1). When the mole fraction-dependent r
esults are scaled by their values for neat oxygen, theory and experiment ar
