Abstract
We extend a well-known formula for sums of products of two Bernoulli number s to that of Carlitz's q-Bernoulli numbers. Recently Ditcher (J. Number The ory 60 (1996), 23-41) generalized the formula For sums of products of any n umber of Bernoulli numbers, but it is not easy to prove the generalized for mula for q-Bernoulli numbers. In this paper we give a q-formula in the case of two q-Bernoulli numbers. (C) 1999 Academic Press.
