Abstract
Power-logarithmic stress singularites and the coefficient vectors for V-not ched cracks in a bi-material are obtained by using complex potentials and t he concept of repeated roots for general solutions. On several examples, it is shown that the results obtained using the complex potential approach ar e identical to those found by Bogy (1970) using the Mellin transform method , and to those found by Dempsey and Sinclair (1979, 1981) using the Airy st ress function approach.
