G. Archer, COMPARISONS BETWEEN AIR-TRANSPORT MODELS VIA BOOTSTRAPPED SIGNIFICANCE TESTS, Environmental and ecological statistics, 4(1), 1997, pp. 65-81
The bootstrap resampling method is used to help with the intercomparis
on of air transport models. Time-by-time analysis of variance and foll
ow up simultaneous comparisons are proposed which do not rely on distr
ibutional assumptions for the predictions of the models and which allo
w errors to be postulated in the observed values of the phenomena unde
r investigation. The techniques are demonstrated using some data from
the APSIS experiment.
