Abstract
For the past few years, Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM), whic h enables large transmission capacity and long distance transmission, has a ttracted much attention in the world. We have developed the DWDM transmissi on system featuring maximum 80 Gb/s (2.5 Gb/s 32-channel) transmission capa city and 600 km transmission distance with optical line repeater to meet th e market's demands. Upgrading to 64-channel DWDM transmission system has al so been realized.
