The screened form factors obtained from the Ashcroft's empty core model pse
udopotential for electron-ion interaction by employing Geldart and Vosko sc
reening have been used for the prediction of the superconducting state prop
erties viz. electron-phonon coupling strength lambda, Coulomb pseudopotenti
al mu*, transition temperature T-c, isotope effect exponent alpha, and the
interaction strength N0V of binary metallic glass Ca70Mg30. The results obt
ained are in the expected range. The obtained T-c value of 17 K suggests su
itability of this metallic glass for its use as lossless transmission line
for cryogenic applications.
