Bremsstrahlung in alpha decay

A quantum mechanical analysis of the bremsstrahlung in a decay of P-210 is performed in close reference to a semiclassical theory. We clarify the cont ribution from the tunneling, mixed, outside barrier regions, and from the w all of the inner potential well to the fnal spectral distribution, and disc uss their interplay. We also comment on the validity of semiclassical calcu lations, and the possibility to eliminate the ambiguity in the nuclear pote ntial between the alpha particle and daughter nucleus using the bremsstrahl ung spectrum.
