Kr. Rogers et Lr. Williams, BIOSENSORS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING - A REGULATORY PERSPECTIVE, TrAC. Trends in analytical chemistry, 14(7), 1995, pp. 289-294
Biosensors show the potential to complement laboratory-based analytica
l methods for environmental applications. Although biosensors for pote
ntial environmental-monitoring applications have been reported for a w
ide range of environmental pollutants, from a regulatory perspective t
he decision to develop a biosensor method for an environmental applica
tion should consider several interrelated issues. These issues are dis
cussed in terms of the needs, policies, and mechanisms assocoated with
the identification and selection of appropriate monitoring methods.
