Abstract
Pu-236 has been produced by the reaction U-238(p, 3n)Np-236s --> Pu-236 on an MGC-20 cyclotron at the Abo University. Nanograms of plutonium have been separated from the irradiated uranium target in two stages, namely, anion exchange and extraction chromatography with the use of DEHP. Efficient remo val of uranium, neptunium, and fission products from plutonium has been ach ieved.
