Abstract
Precipitation of Mn(OH)(2) during reduction of MnO4- in NaOH solutions with hydrazine and hydroxylamine was investigated. Coprecipitation of plutonium (VI,V) with Mn(OH)(2) from ammonia and alkaline solutions (from pH 9.3 to 7 M NaOH) was studied. Except pH 9, plutonium is coprecipitated with high se paration coefficients, which is due to its reduction into plutonium(IV) und er the experimental conditions.
