Radiometric procedure for determination of alpha-emitting nuclides

A highly sensitive procedure of analysis of various industrial media and en vironmental objects for the content of uranium, plutonium, and polonium was developed. The procedure was based on selective precipitation of microamou nts of radionuclides onto a luminophore support at various pH of aqueous so lution and measurement of photoscintillation produced by a-particles. If re quired, appropriate pretreatment of samples for the analysis is carried out . The sensitivity of the analysis is 0.01 Bq. Analyis of an individual samp le takes 30-40 min. The standard radiometric devices are used in the measur ements.
