Abstract
A simple kinetic model for the partial oxidation of hydrocarbons on two typ es of sites was used to study the factors influencing the selectivity to th e desired product. It is possible to increase the selectivity significantly by regulating the ratio of the surface concentrations of partial and deep oxidation sites by a periodic temperature treatment.
