Sa. Kaluzhina et al., Thermogalvanic effects in dissolution of an nonisothermic iron plate in acid media with various pH values, RUSS J ELEC, 35(1), 1999, pp. 47-51
A current distribution is studied along an iron plate with a tangential tem
perature gradient in the course of its dissolution in acid sulfate media of
various pH. The satisfactory correlation between experimental and theoreti
cal data proves that models can be designed on the basis of electrochemical
kinetics. Employing computer methods, the models may quantitatively predic
t thermogalvanic effects in systems under study, where effect of pH appears
to be commensurate with the thermal effect.
