Abstract
Electrochemical behavior of the electrode and membrane systems is studied i n solutions containing zinc ions and organic-surfactant (OS) brighteners. T he electromembrane purification of model solutions of this composition is i nvestigated. The Likond brighteners present in solution are shown to have n o inhibiting effect on the ion transport through the membrane due to the sp ecific interface structure. On the basis of a comprehensive study of adsorp tion of these OS at the mercury/solution interface, a model of the adsorpti on layer structure for the membrane/solution interface is proposed.
