Abstract
Since the end of office of Prof. J.N. Eloff as Editor of the South African Journal of Botany on 30 September 1998, a revised dispensation for the admi nistration of the Journal has been designed. This contribution reiterates e ditorial policies and procedures that will remain unaltered and spells out the changes necessitated by the recent appointment of the three authors as Editors.
