Abstract
The one-step synthesis of various O -benzyl-protected glyconotetrazoles fro m the corresponding glyconolactams is reported. The method is superior to t he previously employed cycloaddition of azidonitriles as it uses readily av ailable starting materials and leads to higher yields.
