Abstract
Soluble fusible propeller-type polyarylates were synthesized by single-stag e synthesis combining polycondensation and the Diels-Alder reaction, and th eir thermal behavior was studied. It was shown that some polarylates exhibi t mesomorphic behavior. The resulting polymers have a molecular mass distri bution that is rather narrow for polycondensation polymers (1.3-1.9).
