Abstract
The complex trans-[ReBr(eta(5)-C5H5)(C6HF4)(CO)(2)] was prepared by reactin g the hydride complex trans-[Re(eta(5)C(5)H(5))(C6HF4)H(CO)(2)] with bromof orm. The structure consists of discrete monomers of the rhenium complex, th e coordination polyhedron being defined by a bromide [Re-Br 2.611(1)Angstro m], two carbonyls [Re-C 1.949(9) and 1.960(9)Angstrom], a tetrafluorophenyl group (TFP) [Re-C 2.172 (8) (Angstrom)] and a cyclopentadienyl group [Re-C 2.229 (9)-2.318 (8) Angstrom].
