Abstract
The sublethal (400 mg/kg) and median lethal (640 mg/kg) doses of carba ryl on Rana tigrina for 96 hours were determined and their toxic effec t on lipid and cholesterol levels in liver, kidney, muscle and intesti ne were studied. Cholesterol level was also studied in blood at the sa me period. Both treatments resulted in decrease in lipid content showi ng lipolysis in tested organs. Mobilization and utilization of cholest erol through blood was observed. The Lipolysis was more in median leth al treatment than in the sublethal treatment.
