Abstract
An LiF:F-2(+) color center laser using a two-mirror cavity is reported. The LiF:F-2(+) laser was achieved by creating the F-2(+) centers through the p hotoionization of the F-2 color centers at room temperature and simultaneou sly by exciting the F-2(+) centers optically. We obtained the F-2(+) broadb and laser oscillation with a peak at 930 nm, and it was more powerful than the room-temperature broadband LiF:F-3(+) color center laser.
