Abstract
An error concealment algorithm based on motion field interpolation is prese nted. For each pixel in a damaged block, thr algorithm recovers a motion ve ctor using bilinear interpolation of neighbouring motion vectors. This vect or is then used to conceal the damaged pixel. Overlapped motion compensatio n is used to combine this algorithm with a boundary matching error concealm ent algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate thr superior performance of t he proposed algorithms.
